Neo Kitchin

Mr Neo Kitchin is a diagnostic radiographer and a sonographer with more than 20 years experience in both disciplines. He did his Undergraduate Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography and Post Graduate Bachelors Degree in Ultrasound at Cape Peninsula University of Technology (formerly know as Peninsula Technikon), Cape Town, South Africa of which he completed in 2001. He went on to do Post Graduate Diploma in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland and completed in 2008. 

 

He worked as a diagnostic radiographer and sonographer at St James’s Hospital, Dublin, Ireland for almost 12 years. St James’s Hospital is one of the largest referral hospitals in Ireland with multiple specialities. He has been practicing radiography in Botswana for the past 8 years. He worked in various institutions including X-ray Diagnostic Centre, Gaborone Private Hospital, Village Imaging and Sidilega Private Hospital. He has been a director and a board member at Bongaka Health Care since 2014.

 

He has been the executive member of the Radiographers Society of Botswana holding various positions for the past 7 years. He is currently the chairperson of the Radiographers Society of Botswana. He is also a Radiography Board Member at Botswana Health Professions Council  (BHPC) since 2021. BHPC is a regulatory body for healthcare professionals in Botswana.  

 

He is married to Dr Boitumelo Pule-Kitchin who is a General and Occupational Medicine Practitioner at Bongaka Health Care. They are blessed with 3 children, Katlego, Kaone and Gaone. He is a South African national coming from Kuruman in Northern Cape Province. He speak Setswana and English. His hobbies are long distance running, swimming and cycling. He is also enthusiastic about farming.
